HB Rentals Appoints Stephen Cyphers as Operations Manager for the Permian Basin

MIDLAND, Texas — John Nagel, VP Global Operations, is pleased to announce Stephen Cyphers as the new Operations Manager for the Permian basin based out of Midland, TX. Stephen will oversee all operational activities including field service and trucking in order to meet internal goals and objectives while maintaining customer satisfaction. He will train, develop, and motivate staff to ensure a high standard of performance in the day-to-day operations of the Midland, TX facility.

Stephen joins HB Rentals with 10 years of experience in various management roles. During his time as Operations Project Manager Stephen spearheaded major turnaround initiatives including boosting monthly revenue from $300K to $1.3M, reclaiming $1.2M in previously lost assets, and eliminating safety incidents by enforcing compliance to protocols. He then revamped and restructured the company’s supply chain by consolidating suppliers to seize additional savings. He was also able to reduce costs by 15% by renegotiating contracts with national suppliers. Stephen’s early career was with the U.S. Army as a Contracts Administrator serving tours in Germany, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and the U.S. Stephen earned his Bachelors in Business Administration Management from Texas State University, McCoy College of Business.
